Today Wordle No. 1164 Hints and Answer for August 26, 2024

Hello everyone! It’s Monday, August 26, 2024, and It’s time once again to dive into our favorite daily challenge: Wordle.

 Today Wordle Hints

Before we dive into today's Wordle adventure, let's start with some hints to help you guess the answer. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Number of Vowels: The answer contains one vowel. (A,E,I,O,U)
  • First Letter: The answer starts with the letter 'S.'
  • Repeated Letters: There are no repeated letters in today's Wordle.
  • Hint Example: If you’re thinking along the lines of words like "Stare," you’re on the right track, but remember, there's only one vowel.

With these clues in hand, see if you can guess the word before we reveal the answer!

Today, our good friend Connie KB 6368 suggested we start with the word "Fondu." I love the idea—nothing says cozy like a fondue night with friends. I might just dig out my old fondu pot and invite a few friends over. Connie, you’re invited, of course, though the logistics might be tricky depending on where you live!

So, with "Fondu" as our starting word, let’s see how we do.

Well, unfortunately, "Fondue" didn’t quite hit the mark today. But don’t worry, Connie—your fondue is sure to be exquisite, even if the word didn’t do us any favors. We’ve got an open board, so now we can go in any direction our hearts desire.

Second Guess: Stare

I decided to go back to basics with the word "Stare." It’s a solid choice that often gives us a clearer picture of the puzzle. And oh boy, did it deliver! We ended up with four out of five letters in green—talk about a nice recovery!

Third Guess: Stake

Today Wordle No. 1164 Hints and Answer for August 26, 2024

With the board showing "S-T-A-blank-E," we were left with several possibilities: "State," "Stale," "Stake," "Stage," "Stave." It was time to get strategic. We had four guesses left and five possible words. I decided to go with "Stake," hoping for a repeat of yesterday’s success with the letter 'K.'

And would you believe it? "Stake" was the correct answer! That’s two days in a row where we’ve struck gold on the third guess. Sometimes, luck just favors you in Wordle, and today was one of those days.

Wrapping It Up

Connie, your suggestion might not have cracked today’s puzzle, but it certainly led us to a fun and successful solve. Folks, let me know in the comments how you did with today’s Wordle. Did you guess "Stake" too, or were you leaning toward one of the other possibilities?

Tomorrow is Tuesday, and I’ve already got my starting word picked out: "Phase." Will it bring us another streak of success? The only way to find out is to come back tomorrow for more Wordle fun. See you then!
