Today Worrdle No. 1170 Hints and Answer for September 1, 2024

Hello everyone, and welcome to another exciting day of Wordle! Today is Sunday, September 1, 2024, and I’m your Wordle guide. Before we dive into the full gameplay, let’s talk about some hints to help you crack today’s puzzle.

Today Wordle Answer Hints

  • Number of Vowels: Today’s answer has two vowels, which is pretty standard.
  • First Letter: The first letter is not one of the most common starting letters, so it might take you by surprise.
  • Repeated Letters: There are no repeated letters in today’s word, so you won’t need to worry about doubling up on any particular letter.
  • Last Letter: The word ends with a consonant that’s often overlooked but can sometimes be a game-changer.
  • Hint Example: If the word were “SPOON,” these hints would tell you there are two vowels, the first letter is “S,” there are no repeated letters, and it ends with a consonant.

Now that you’ve got a few clues in hand, let’s dive into the Wordle of the day!

It’s time once again to play some Wordle. One of our community members, TheRubberman1997, writes in saying, “Raise is my go-to starting word.” Well, I’ll tell you what—we’re going to raise the stakes here… no, we’re not really going to raise the stakes, it’s the same game as every day, but it sounded good in the moment! Nonetheless, I like your starting word, "Raise," so let’s give it a spin and see what we get.

First Guess: Raise

I plugged in "Raise" as the first word, and lo and behold, we have an "S" in the word, but it’s out of position. I love that we’ve tested "A," "I," and "E," three of the classic vowels. This leaves us with "O" and "U" to consider, not forgetting about the occasional "Y."

Second Guess: South

Since "S" is out of position, I considered putting it in the middle and opted for "South" to test "O" and "U." It’s a decent guess to cover more ground. But alas, the word "South" didn’t quite hit the mark—no new letters found, and the "S" is still out of position.

Third Guess: Dusty

Next, I decided to try "Dusty." This guess feels strong because it places "S" in the third position, and we still have "U" in the mix, with "Y" at the end. Bingo! We’ve locked in "U" and "S" in the correct positions, though we’re not there yet.

Fourth Guess: Mushy

Today Worrdle No. 1170 Hints and Answer for September 1, 2024

After some thought, I realized the word could be "Mushy." It fits the pattern we’re working with: "M" for the first letter, "U" and "S" in their correct spots, and "Y" wrapping it up. A little mushy on the confidence side, but hey, it’s worth a shot. And wouldn’t you know it—Mushy is the correct answer!

Reflections and Community Engagement

That was a bit of a journey, wasn’t it? I’ll admit, I wasn’t entirely confident in the final guess, but sometimes you have to trust the process and your instincts. It’s funny how a word like "Mushy" can sneak up on you. I’m curious to see how all of you did today. Did you struggle with the same letters, or did you get it right away? Please share your experiences in the comments—I love reading how everyone approaches the game differently.

As always, I’m looking forward to your starting words for tomorrow. It’s Monday, and we’re going to be trying the word "Scout." So, get ready for another round of Wordle fun!

I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your Sunday, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow for more Wordle.
