Today Wordle No. 1171 Hints and Answer September 2, 2024

Before diving into today’s Wordle adventure, let’s break down some hints that might help you crack the puzzle faster. The Wordle solution today is a five-letter word, and here are some clues to guide you:

Today Wordle Hints

  • Number of Vowels: The word contains two vowels.
  • First Letter: The word begins with the letter ‘C.’
  • Repeated Letters: There are no repeated letters in today’s word.
  • Letter Positioning: The letters ‘C’ and ‘A’ are in their correct positions.

Now, let’s jump into the game and see how today’s puzzle unfolds.

Well, everyone, it’s Monday, September 2, 2024 and it’s time once again to play some Wordle. Dylan Chrisman 5725 writes in, mentioning that he’s been using "Scout" as his starting word. That’s a solid choice, Dylan! It’s another excellent starting word. So, let’s see what happens when we begin with "Scout."

First Attempt: Scout

Kicking things off with "Scout," we discover that the letter ‘C’ is in the word but out of position. Not bad at all! We’ve already ruled out some of the classic vowels like ‘O’ and ‘U,’ so just like yesterday, let’s see if we can eliminate some more vowels. What if we try a word that includes ‘A’ and ‘E’? How about "Caper"? That would cover the ‘A’ and ‘E’ while also checking the letters ‘P’ and ‘R.’ You know what? I’m sold. Let’s give that a shot.

Second Attempt: Caper

Is today’s answer "Caper"? I was just about to wind up fully for the catchphrase, but no, the letter ‘P’ is grayed out. However, we now know that ‘C’ and ‘A’ are in the correct positions, and ‘E’ is also in the word. Very interesting! I don’t think we’re dealing with any duplicates of ‘C,’ ‘A,’ or ‘E,’ so it’s time to consider other possibilities.

Third Attempt: Cagey

At this point, I don’t think the word includes an ‘I’ or ‘Y.’ Maybe a ‘C’? That could be intriguing. The word "CAGEY" suddenly jumps to mind—although it’s a bit unusual. But hey, unusual might just be what we need today! Let’s see if we can eliminate some more consonants with this guess.

Alas, "CAGEY" is not the word either, and both ‘G’ and ‘Y’ are grayed out. But we’re making progress, folks! We continue our search, and I’m now thinking about the word "Camel." It fits the bill, with ‘C’ and ‘A’ in the right spots and ‘E’ present as well.

Final Attempt: Camel

Not seeing any other great candidates for the third letter, I’m hopeful that "Camel" might be the answer. Let’s give it a go.

Is the answer to today’s puzzle the word "Camel"? Yes, it is! I’m sitting here again, maybe a little less confident than usual as we kick off this week. I’m not quite sure why, but hey, I’m not my own therapist. Perhaps my confidence will grow as we continue through the puzzles this week.

Nonetheless, it was an interesting and quirky puzzle, but we got there in four guesses. I’m curious to see how everyone else did—let me know in the comments below!
