Today Wordle No. 1231 Hints and Answer for November 1, 2024

Hello, everyone! It’s Friday, November 1, 2024, and back to tackle yet another Fearless Friday Wordle puzzle. If you’re new here, welcome! Every Friday, we turn up the intensity on Wordle with a few fun twists. Here’s how it works:

  1. We Switch on Hard Mode: To give ourselves a real challenge, we toggle on Hard Mode. This setting makes each guess based on previous hints, upping the difficulty.
  2. We Pick a Suboptimal Starting Word: Instead of starting with an optimal, vowel-heavy word, we go for something a bit unusual.

Today, I’ll be taking on a viewer suggestion from Lance Run, who has challenged us with the word “Mamma” as our opening. So, let’s dive into Fearless Friday and see how far we can go!

Today's Wordle Hints:

  • Number of Vowels: Today's answer has one vowel.
  • Starting Letter: The answer begins with "S".
  • Repeating Letters: There are no repeating letters in the word.
  • Unique Ending: The answer ends with the letter "H".

  • Example Hint: Think about the word you'd use to describe the position right after the fifth place in a sequence. It's commonly used when referring to rankings, like in a race or line.

If you need answer then read the article answer is at the end.

Attempt #1 – Starting Word: “Mamma”

With "Mama" as our starting word, we weren’t expecting a high success rate on the first try. Sure enough, it was a complete strikeout — no correct letters, leaving us with a clean slate to strategize.

    Attempt #2 – Trying “Ounce”

To capture some classic vowels and try to rule out a few key letters, I chose "Ounce" as our next guess. But once again, it was a total bust: no correct letters at all! Now we’re left with two guesses down and all gray tiles.

    Analyzing the Board So Far

The good news is, we’ve managed to rule out a lot:

    • All vowels except for I and possibly Y.
    • Common consonants M, C, N, and U are out.

This information means the word likely includes an “I” or “Y” (or both). We’re narrowing it down, but it’s definitely a puzzler so far!

Attempt #3 – Testing with “Shirt”

For my next move, I went with "Shirt." This choice seemed logical as it introduces the remaining classic vowel I and includes frequently used letters like S, H, R, and T. Success! Here’s what we got:

    • S is in the correct position.
    • H and I are in the word but not in the correct spots.
    • R and T are not in the word.

    Strategic Analysis

    Now we know:

    • The word starts with S.
    • H and I are part of the word but need repositioning.

It’s time to piece these clues together carefully!

Attempt #4 – Deciphering the Puzzle with “Sixth”

After a bit of analysis, I realized the answer might just be “Sixth.” With the clues aligning, “Sixth” seemed like a strong fit, covering all bases of our previous clues.

    Drumroll... The Final Answer

And the answer is... “Sixth!” We solved it! Fearless Friday has been conquered once again.
