Right away, umbilical jumped out at me, and all I could think of was an umbilical cord. That made me look at spinal, as in spinal cord, and then I saw bungee, which made me think of a bungee cord. Add in extension cord, and we had a full set. Sure enough, that was the blue category!

Second Connection: Bodies of Water

Next, I noticed strait, channel, bay, and sound—all terms related to bodies of water. That locked in the green category!

Third Connection: Things in Bottles

With half the puzzle solved, I turned to the remaining words. Genie in a bottle? Check. Message in a bottle? Check. Lightning in a bottle? Check. And I’ve definitely seen ships in bottles before. That made for an easy purple connection.

Fourth Connection: Synonyms for Outspoken

That left vocal, loud, direct, and frank—all words describing someone who is outspoken. That finished up the yellow category!
